Setup has begun for one of the biggest events here at Cedar Creek… SUMMERFEST! The big cook off begins tonight and runs through Saturday the 27th at 3:00pm. Here’s a rundown of events scheduled for Saturday:

Fishing competition – 6:30am – 10:30am
Catered BBQ dinner – 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Awards for the BBQ cook off and fishing tournament will be presented around 7:00pm
Live entertainment throughout the evening until 10:00pm

September 17th you’ll want to make sure you’re at Falcon Lakes Golf Club as our first homegrown golf tournament gets underway! We’re really excited about this tournament, and spots have been filling fast – with five times more prizes than most scramble tournaments, we can see why!

THE 2011 CEDAR CREEK GOLF TOURNAMENT
Date: September 17, 2011 (Saturday)
Location: Falcon Lakes Golf Club (4605 Clubhouse Drive, Basehor, KS 66007)
Time: 12 PM Registration and Putting Contest from Noon to 12:45 PM; 1 PM Shotgun Start Cost: $125 Per Person (Includes Range Balls, Cart, Green Fee, Prizes, Dinner & Awards Following the Tournament)

Hole #18 – Par 4 – Closest to the Pin on the 2nd Shot = PING Karsten Putter + $25 Austin’s Bar & Grill Gift Card After the Tournament – Mystery Prize – Golf for 4 at Falcon Lakes Golf Club (Monday – Friday)

There will be two flights with a first place ($600), second place ($320) and third place ($160) in each flight. Prizes will be gift certificates to Falcon Lakes Pro Shop (Basehor, KS) and Shadow Glen Pro Shop (Olathe, KS).

NOTE: All contest prizes and flight prizes are based on 144 paying golfers. These prizes are subject to change without notice if there are fewer than 144 paying golfers in this tournament. So let’s fill this tournament up!

Rules
There will be two foursomes on every hole playing together and keeping each other’s scores. You must putt EVERYTHING out. We will be playing a four person scramble format. More details and rules to come …
